Diagnoza
In the diagnostic process, I always rely on the latest scientific knowledge and my experience in working with neuroatypical people. I am inquisitive and before making or ruling out a diagnosis, I always make sure that my opinion is reliable and valuable.
During each process for ADHD/ASD, I check whether we are dealing with only one of these disorders or both, because research shows that a significant number of people with one diagnosis also meet the criteria for the other.
During meetings, I look not only at overt symptoms, but also at counter-symptoms and how a person adapts to the environment in which he or she functions.
Diagnosis requires several meetings, the number of which depends on the specific situation and whether the disorders need to be differentiated. Approximately it looks like this:
preliminary interview: 1-2 meetings
interview for ADHD: 2-3 meetings
autism spectrum interview:3-4 meetings
In addition, I send additional tests to clients. If a differential diagnosis is required, we will need more time, but I try to keep you updated on the progress and what I have observed.
Regardless of the diagnosis result, I do not leave the patient alone, I focus on psychoeducation, support and learning self-acceptance.
